Radiohead singer Thom Yorke was left surprised after finding out that a daughter of US President George W. Bush was in the crowd.
The rockstar, famously dedicating his previous album 'Hail To The Thief' in honour to the US president, was shocked to find secret service bodyguards manhandling audience members, and causing a general fracas, at the gig in New York City last Thursday.
Yorke wrote on his website, "We did wonder what the shuffling, manhandling, fighting was in the distance of the audience."
"Turns out it was her six bodyguards clearing the way for the daughter's exit. And some pour soul objected at being manhandled by the secret service. I think I would have to."
The frontman went on to say he was glad he didn't know she was there, otherwise his objections may have been more forthcoming. He continued: "In fact, if I had known all this my objections would have been more forthright and extensive. Which is perhaps why our lot chose not to tell me who was in the building before we went on. Probably a good idea."
Yorke wasn't sure which daughter was present, Jenna or Barbara, but what does it matter.
Thom Yorke will release his debut solo album 'The Eraser' next month.
