Virtual Tourer Sandi Thom
A female webcaster from Tooting has been signed to a major record deal having made her name on the Internet for broadcasting concerts from her London basement.

Sandi Thom, the 24 year old singer-songwriter has virtually toured the world, and has been snapped up by RCA/SonyBMG, having performed to over 70,000 fans on her final webcast last month.

Thom garnered huge media exposure after webcasting her 'living room' gigs from the basement of her Tooting flat as part of a 21 consecutive night residency.

News of the gigs spread like wildfire and from an initial audience on the first night of 70, to a peak audience of 70,000 across the globe. After a number of offers were made by the major recording labels, Sandi agreed to sign with the newly formed RCA Label Group.

The singer, originally from Scotland, has been compared to KT Tunstall and Janis Joplin.

It was RCA's first UK signing and a first for the newly appointed MD Craig Logan. Craig said on the signing "I'm thrilled that Sandi is the first signing to the RCA Label Group, she is a very talented artist with an already unique story.

We're very excited that we're now going to be a part of that story as she develops into a major artist.".

Comparing her to Janis Joplin is a disgrace! Janis was a rock icon & she didn't hoax & scam to become one! I have heard amateurs that sing better than Stealing Sandi Thom. What a Joke!! How come her story mirrors that of David Lockhart? 
Now he is a talented artist!

Along with all the hoax claims this week about Sandi Thom`s web cam story , there is also more hoax rumours going round about the rest of her story . It is in the pubs and social places chatter that Sandi Thom an Sony/BMG stole the rest of her story from the Scottish Music Artist David Lockhart .
