According to a spokeswoman, Dave Dee died in Kingston Hospital, south-west London on Friday morning following "a long and courageous battle" with cancer. The singer was a member of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich - named after the five friends' nicknames - and continued to play gigs with his friends until the very end of his life.
