On Friday, Geneva police detained Doherty for heroin consumption after the Babyshambles frontman arrived on a flight from London.
A police spokesman said Doherty was tested for heroin consumption. After being held for two hours, the singer paid a fine and was released.
Swiss tabloid Le Matin reported Doherty was discovered collapsed in a lavatory by an airline hostess and a used syringe was found nearby. That?s when the plane?s crew contacted Geneva police, according to Le Matin.
British Airways did confirm a passenger on the flight was arrested on arrival, but the air carrier said it is legally barred from disclosing details.
Doherty?s Geneva episode is the latest drug-related incident for the singer. He served 29 days in a London lockup last year for getting caught with heroin, crack cocaine, ketamine and marijuana while on probation.
Makes you wonder if Doherty has his lawyer?s phone number on speed dial, doesn?t it?
