The Flaming Lips’ 11th album is yet another inventive and experimental combination of pop rock and psychedelic sound production.
The first single is ‘The Yeah Yeah Yeah song’- lively and catchy, with a peaceful message wholesome enough to be chanted on a student march, and a likely hit.
For those seeking more out-and-out weirdness from The Flaming Lips you’ll find a set of intricate and charming songs-no real noise showers or rhythmic destruction here.
The bands’ characteristic electronic fizz is well represented but skips alongside and in and out of more conventional melodic music.
