Nickelback Tour Dates & Tickets Announced E-mail

ImageMulti-million album selling Canadian Rockers Nickelback have announced two UK shows. According to the band’s press-release, the band will be bringing their ‘awesomely pyro-tastic show’ to the UK in early 2010. We’re not sure what ‘pyro-tastic’ means; they might be setting fire to things, possibly each other, which is always good for a laugh. Click here for tickets.

The Canadian rockers are touring in support of their latest album ‘Dark Horse’. The album went platinum three weeks after its 2008 release and then, not an album to do anything in half measures, did it again by the following April. To really drive the point home, the album won the band 5 Juno Awards including Group of The Year, Fan Choice Award and Album Of The Year.

Nickleback are named after the American cousin of the infamous British freshwater fish, The Stickleback. The American fish has flatter, rounder spines that were originally dried out and used by native American Indians as currency (which is where the US term for a small coin ‘Nickle’ comes from). Nickleback recently stunned critics by announcing they plan to tour Europe playing on instruments made entirely from seasonal vegetables as a protest against the little-known phenomenon of Global Cooling.

Everything in the last paragraph is a lie, sorry, but all the other paragraphs, including this one are completely true. Nickleback actually got their name from bass-player Mike Kroeger’s habit of saying “Here’s your Nickel back” to customers when he worked in a café.

The dates the band have announced for the UK are:

Jan 17 – Liverpool Arena
Jan 19 – Wembley Arena, London.

That’s right, only two dates so far! Tickets go on-sale at 9am on Friday 25th September. Click Here to Compare & Buy Nickelback Tickets

Emma,

there's no need to be mean about stickleback, they're a fantastic band made from fabulousness. And yes, as a controversial finale to their shows, they're going to be dowsing themselves in peach schnapps and inviting fans to throw lit matches at them.

The Facial hair needs a little work setting them on fire is proably a tad harsh

Dear Saard can you please confirm that Nickleback will be setting themselves on fire as this will influence my purchasing of such tickets.
If they are to set themselves on fire, I will definately attend as that is the only way that they could possibly entertain me. :D

I'm glad they'll be in Blighty in the new year. We'll be on the same island so there'll be a good chance that they'll feel the unquenchable rancor that rages within me towards their plodding soft rock excuse for music
