Apparently, they will be for at least one night. That’s the Children in Need gig at the Royal Albert Hall this Autumn. Organised by Gary Barlow, the night will feature Take That performing with the original line-up. This includes Robbie Williams.
The rumour monkey is throwing out suggestion nuggets that something a little more permanent might be on the horizon. If you listen carefully you can hear the screaming already.
Williams and Take That are currently signed up to different labels and Williams is known to be working on a solo album. The 1995 split from the band was not a cheery one and featured lots of sulking and toys being thrown out of prams all over the place. This has made a reunion seem like an unlikely thing indeed.
However, despite his spokesperson saying there are no plans for a reunion, Williams himself told the Daily Mirror that it “was looking more likely by the week”. Other Williams comments include “The lads seem up for it and some people think it’s a done deal” and “We’ve matured now; we’d have a laugh.”
Apparently, the smart money is on the band being back together by the Spring.
