Blur wasn’t enough for him, oh no, he had to go off and produce a range of critically acclaimed, fan-favourite albums, including a concept album ‘The Spinning Top’ that’s actually good (honestly, who does that? Concept albums are supposed to be crap). He’s a painter, can play a million instruments, records albums on his tod, designs the artwork for his sleeves and let’s face it, he probably fights crime in his spare time.
That’s right, he’s gone and got a new group, 'The Graham Coxon Power Acoustic Ensemble'. Half of them are apparently the talented folk who played on 'The Spinning Top'. Coxon has also unveiled a host of special guests for his bands’ tour. They would be special, wouldn’t they? Not normal guests, special ones. The swine.
Scattered about the three dates. Coxon will be joined by Robyn Hitchcock, Natasha Marsh, Martin Carthy and Max Eastley plus others. At the Barbican show in London, visuals will be provided by Chris Hopewell, an artist who has worked on previous videos with Graham Coxon. Makes you sick, doesn’t it?
This is his smelly, show-off tour
