In what must be a warm-up to their 2010 tour and curatorship/headlining of All Tomorrow’s Parties as well as a two-fingered salute to all those who thought they couldn’t get back together, Pavement are playing Brixton academy on the 16th May. Click here for Pavement tickets.
Not the most lucrative fivesome, but one with a cult following who’d chew your lips off if they ever dared form Pavement-unfriendly words, the Californian band have healed their internal rifts and are hitting the road like a rain of guitar-wielding frogs. Just less gooey.
Expect the old brand of odd indie magic to rear its head, plus in the (slightly biased) words of Gary Young, Pavement’s ex-drummer, more of Stephen Malkmus’ “songwriting genius”. Mind you, Gary Young went a bit funny and used to hand out cabbage to fans before the gig and fell off his drum stool a lot. Should you really listen to a man like that?
Yes. Tickets are available here, priced £25.00. Click Here to Compare & Buy Pavement Tickets.
