The rock and blues performer claims the songwriter in him was born the day he went to hospital due to cardiac arrhythmia. It makes you wonder. For instance, if you shot him in the leg, would he come out of casualty a postman? Does it work that way for everyone? John Mayer is a critically successful musician with a bunch of awards under his belt. This includes half of a Grammy. He gave the other have to Alicia Keys because, although he beat her, he thought her song ‘If I ain’t got you’ deserved it more. That was the day the award-snapper in him was born.
Known for interesting collaberations, Mayer has worked with Common, Kanye West, BB King, Eric Clapton and Jazz artist John Scofield. Mayer’s new album, ‘Battle Studies’ is due for release in November this year. The first single ‘Who Says’ was released in September.
