Simply Red are getting back to nature by getting slap-bang in the middle of it and singing. The band have announced a series of gigs in woodland locations next summer as part of the Forestry Commission Live Music Tour. If you don’t tell the RSPCA, I will. Click Here for Simply Red Tickets
Fronted by the unmistakable Mick Hucknall (though fingers crossed someone posh will mistake him for a fox… sorry, that was mean), a catalogue of hit singles (a bit) like Holding Back The Deers, Squirrel Got Me Started, If You Don't Doe Me By Now, Ev’ry Time We Say Goldfinch and For Your Badgers established Simply Red's superstar status across the globe.
All the money made from these inspired gigs in some of Britain’s most stunning woodland locations will go back into improving woodlands for both wildlife and the public to enjoy. See www.forestry.gov.uk/music for further information.
After the final gig in Delamere Forest, Mick Hucknall will be released back into the wild.
And then culled to get Mick Hucknall numbers down to a sustainable level.
Oops, did it again. Sorry.
Simply Red will play:
11 June - Thetford Forest
12 June - Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest
18 June - Sherwood Pines Forest Park
19 June - Westonbirt Arboretum
