Peter Kay Tour Dates & Tickets

Peter Kay has confirmed his first live shows in almost seven years. The Phoenix Nights comedian will perform four stand up shows at Manchester's MEN Arena over four consecutive nights on 27th to 30th April 2010.

Kay broke the news on the Chris Moyles Radio 1 show this morning, jokingly dubbing it the "Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour".

He said he's decided to do the dates after writing his new autobiography, Saturday Night Peter.

"I want to do it again. I regret not doing it. I did like doing it. Because I wrote that book and I started talking about it again I thought, 'It would be shame if I didn't it again'.

"I do like it. It is terrifying, you and 10,000 people but it will be good."

The Lancashire funnyman's last live shows were in 2003 during his record-breaking Mum Wants A Bungalow tour.

Explaining his decision to confirm just the four dates in Manchester, Kay said: "I don't want to be away from home, this is a happy compromise. The secret to life is balance, spending time with your family and friends, with a bit of work."

After the announcement this morning, unprecendented demand for information crashed the MEN arena and peter kay official websites.

A spokesman for the M.E.N Arena said: "We always knew this morning's announcement was going to be huge and, even though we'd taken every precaution to make sure both ours and Peter's websites would be ready for the enquiries, we've been blown away by just how big this news is.

"We're now happy to report that all the sites are back online and we're more than prepared for tickets going on sale tomorrow morning."

Tickets for the Peter Kay tour will go on general sale tomorrow morning at 11am priced £35.00. As always you can buy your Peter Kay tickets safely using Stereoboard.com. Click here to Compare & Buy Peter Kay Tickets

nige  - supply and demand   |25/11/2009 13:00:25
I think it's a case of demand massively outstripping supply by about 50:1.

Between Friday 9am and Monday 11pm there were over one million searches on google for Peter Kay and Peter Kay tickets. The demand for tickets was phenomenal. Obviously some fans were not going to be able to get face value tickets, but at least they still can get tickets from secondary places like Viagogo, seatwave etc where fans may have bought spares.

I do however sympathise though with the thousands of fans that were left disappointed because of "professional touts" using unscrupulous methods to snap up hundreds of tickets. There should have been a presale.
Steve  - Lets end these Tout Sites   |23/11/2009 14:02:43
Tried in vain on Saturday to get Peter Kay Tickets but between Ticketmaster and the touts posting them for sale at ridiculous prices on Viagogo and ebay, real fans didn't stand a chance.

Lets stop these sites from profiteering by signing the below government petition and let the people who really want to see the concerts have their say.
