The rock super group Them Crooked Vultures have confirmed the addition of fellow collaborative types Sweethead to their imminent UK tour. The band, who are one of the year’s most talked about projects, released their self titled debut album roughly two weeks ago and it has been causing stereos across the nation to go into meltdown ever since. Them Crooked Vultures are to follow the album release with a lengthy UK tour kicking off in Plymouth in just nine days time. Click here for tickets
Uniting three mega talented rock musicians the band announced their arrival to the world with a number of secret shows. Playing a surprise support slot to Arctic Monkeys, and unannounced performances at both the Reading and Leeds festivals, the trio unveiled some explosive new material, and little wonder, given the band is rooted by the likes of Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and Queens of the Stone Age.
Joining them on the British jaunt will be Sweethead. A US rock band, and another collaboration project which has been formed by another familiar name, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, best known for his involvement with Queens of the Stone Age. The band is completed by Serrina Sims, Norm Block and Eddie Nappi with the name ‘Sweethead’ being taken from a David Bowie B-Side track.
Releasing their album earlier this year Sweethead have spent a large amount of time in the UK already, playing high profile support slots to Snow Patrol and Eagles of Death Metal as well as their own headline performances.
