School Of Seven Bells Announce Three UK Summer Shows & Tickets

Brooklyn three-piece School Of Seven Bells have announced three summer shows set to take place in July later this year.

Formed by the former Secret Machines member Benjamin Curtis, together with identical twins formerly of On! Air! Library! Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, the trio met while both bands were supporting an Interpol concert. The trio decided to end things with their former bands, moved into a shared space and built a home recording studio together.

School Of Seven Bells got their name from the School Of Seven Bells, a mythical South American pickpocket training academy. Their sound can be described as being dreamy and ethereal with abstract lyrics which is formed through an unorthodox song writing process where the lyrics come first, supplemented by the music.

The band’s seond album ‘Disconnect From Desire’, is expected to be released this year with new track “Babelonia” recently being released to fans as a free download. The five-minute offering of dream pop is a slice of confident progression since their promising 2008 debut album ‘Alpinisms’.

‘Disconnet From Desire’ is scheduled for release on the July 12th in the UK and to coincide with the release School of Seven Bells will play UK venues in Bristol, Manchester and London to showcase the new material.

School of Seven Bells will play the following UK dates:

July 2010

18th Thekla, Birstol
19th Ruby Lounge, Manchester
20th Scala, London
