Counting Crows are an American rock band hailing from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1991, the band consists of Adam Duritz, guitarists Dan Vickrey and David Bryson, keyboard-player Charlie Gillingham, banjo/mandolin man David Immerglück, drummer Jim Bogios and Millard Powers on bass.
Influenced by the likes of Van Morrison, REM, Mike and the Mechanics and Bob Dylan to name but only a few, Counting Crows have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide. They even boast the honour of a 2004 Academy Award nomination for their song Accidentally in Love, which was included in the film Shrek 2.
Their debut album ‘August and Everything After’ hit shelves in 1993, and has gone on to become certified 7x platinum in both the US and Canada. Since then, they’ve notched-up five more studio albums, earning #1 chart-positions across the globe, and gigs all over too.
Renowned for their energetic and passionate live shows, the band have used their 20+ years together to build-up an incredible stage persona and their setlists always treat fans to new material, classics, and iconic covers. Their next record ‘Somewhere Under Wonderland’ hits shelves in Autumn 2014 - catch Counting Crows touring the UK in November, with support from Lucy Rose!
