Drowning Pool are an American heavy metal and post-grunge outfit hailing from Dallas, Texas. Consisting of guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce, the band have had a number of different vocalists (their original singer Dave Williams died on tour in 2002), but they’ve now settled with new singer Jasen Moreno.
Since their debut ‘Sinner’ hit shelves in 2001, the band have put out three more records - but it was their debut single ‘Bodies’ which instantly cemented their place in metal history, with the track still a constant feature in movies, television programmes, at events and almost every wrestling gig of all time. 2013 sees the release of their fifth record - catch them touring it in the UK this April.
