Emily Maguire is an English singer-songwriter hailing from London. Musically-involved from an early age, she grew up on the likes of classic composers such as Mozart and Bach, but quickly moved onto writing her own tracks and playing the guitar. After plucking up the courage to perform at open mic nights in her hometown, she started writing, producing, and self-releasing a series of albums.
Her acoustic folk-pop debut Stranger Place hit shelves in 2004, and earned her support slots alongside Gail Ann Dorsey, while her 2007 sophomore effort Keep Walking saw her receiving much critical acclaim. Earning even more support for her 2009 third Believer, she's now waiting upon the release of her fourth Bird Inside a Cage - catch her touring the record in autumn and winter 2013!
