Emma Pollock is a British singer, songwriter and guitarist from Scotland, best known as a founding member of The Delgados.
Formed in 1994, the band released five albums; ‘Domestiques’ in 1996, ‘Peloton’ in 1998, ‘The Great Eastern’ in 2000, ‘Hate’ in 2002, ‘Universal Audio’ in 2004, before the band split in 2005. She signed a record deal with 4AD in 2005, and released her debut solo album, ‘Watch the Fireworks’, in 2007, which was followed by ‘The Law of Large Numbers’ in 2010. That year she was also a founding member of The Burns Unit, who released their debut album, ‘Side Show’ in 2010. Her latest solo album, ‘In Search of Harperfield’, was released in January 2016.
