Grant Nicholas is a Welsh singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Newport. Best known as the frontman of Feeder, Nicholas has to date released eight studio records, from the indie favourite ‘Polythene’ to 2012’s ‘Generation Freakshow’, with five of them landing in the top 10 of the UK’s album chart.
Having fronted the band since the early ‘90s, Nicholas announced his decision to put out a solo record in March 2014, following a period of downtime for the band. ‘Yorktown Heights’, which hit shelves in August '14, finds him in acoustic singer-songwriter territory, something of a departure from the alt-rock musings of Feeder. Following his live debut at London’s Slaughtered Lamb, he headed out on a headline UK tour through September and October, and is back for three more UK dates in February 2015.
