Ian McCulloch is a singer and guitarist, most famous for fronting successful post-punk outfit Echo & the Bunnymen. Making his debut with the band way back in 1978, he has enjoyed many years of success with the band, and decided to try his hand as a solo artist in 1989.
His debut ‘Candleland’ earned him the #18 spot in the UK Albums charts and he enjoyed his DIY music enough to put Echo & the Bunnymen on hold. He went on to release two more albums; 1992’s ‘Mysterio’ and 2003’s ‘Slideling’, and though he didn’t see the same chart success, he’s returned in 2012 with a brand new solo LP. His last release was 2013’s live album, ‘Holy Ghosts’. He plays a run of ‘An Evening with Ian MuCulloch’ shows in early 2016.
