One Direction are reportedly “raging” after record bosses introduced a sex ban for thier forthcoming American tour.
A source close to Niall Horan, told The Sun newspaper: 'He's raging about it - all the lads are. Four of them are single and they've been told to stay that way as it appeals to their American teen fans. Niall is fighting off the women with his Irish accent and good looks so he's having to live like a monk.”
The no sex policy has been introduced by record bosses to maintain the group's clean-cut image. The source continued: “Niall and the boys are being kept on a really tight leash and it is tough for them. But they are so determined to make it work in the States they'll do whatever they are told. Quite simply a sex scandal over there would be the end of the band.”
One Direction kick-off their first ever American tour in May, with 22 dates confirmed across the States. Since landing in the US and topping the Billboard charts with debut offering 'Up All Night', One Direction fever has spread across the whole country. A source told Closer magazine: “All the boys are popular, but the girls in the US seem to be absolutely obsessed with Niall. They love the fact he's Irish and looks like the perfect all-American boy. He gets swamped with girls wherever he goes. Zayn is a close second - he's very cheeky and confident, which is going down well. It's definitely been a bit of a knock to Harry's ego, as he's used to being the heartthrob back home. It's only natural that the boys are now competing for attention. It's causing a bit of tension.”
