New Found Glory Announce Completion Of New Album ‘Radiosurgery’

Wednesday, 08 June 2011 Written by James Conlon

American rockers New Found Glory have announced that they have finished recording their seventh studio LP, ‘Radiosurgery’. In a studio blog, the pop-punk five-piece have announced that the follow-up to their 2009 album ‘Not Without A Fight’ has been completed, with a release date set to be confirmed shortly.

The album is currently being mixed by producer Neal Avron, the man behind hit albums from Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park and Yellowcard.

Speaking on their official website, the band celebrated the album’s completion by saying: “Time flies when you are having fun! I guess that's why it feels like yesterday when we recorded our first full length "Nothing Gold Can Stay". It's crazy to think that was in 1999. Now, 12 years later, our 7th full length album, RADIOSURGERY is complete! The tracking is done and our producer Neal Avron is currently in the studio mixing our album.”

The band went on, praising their mixing engineer: “Having Neal Avron on board this time around truly was a blessing. Besides his ability to get amazing instrument and vocal sounds he really pushed us to limit as far as song writing goes. We wrote and re-wrote and threw out more songs than ever before. It was a tough thing to do too. We take our NFG songs very seriously... so to just trash a song we worked hard on isn't easy. At this point though, after all of our albums, we owe it to our fans to not just go through the motions.”

They continued: “We owe it to ourselves and our fans to go down every road to make sure that this album is true to NFG but new and improved and the best NFG record yet. I really believe we accomplished that. I have faith that our fans as well as people who have never heard of our band will find something to dig about 'Radiosurgery'. To be honest, we succeeded already just by recording this album!”

“We genuinely love this band, recording, writing music, and everything in between. Our fans and supporters continue to make this possible for us and we never take it for granted. I wish the record was coming out tomorrow but timing is everything. We have a lot of fun NFG things that will be announced leading up to the release of the album so be sure to check in and stay tuned. NFG will be taking over!”
