Tenacious D will hit the road this Summer in support of their new album 'Rize of the Fenix'. Today a third date at London's Brixton Academy has been added to the band's UK live schedule. Tickets for Tenacious D are onsale this Friday at 9am.
Their first studio album in six years, 'Rize of the Fenix' is the follow-up to 2006’s 'The Pick of Destiny' and 2001’s debut album 'Tenacious D'.
'Rize of the Fenix', Tenacious D’s widely-anticipated third album, is available for preorder on the iTunes store. The iTunes preorder includes the exclusive track 'The 5 Needs' – a classic, never-before recorded Tenacious D song. Also available is the first single 'Rize of the Fenix', listen to the track via www.tenaciousd.com.
'Rize of the Fenix' will be available everywhere May 14th. Produced by John Kimbrough, 'Rize Of The Fenix' was recorded in the garage behind his LA home and features Jack Black and Kyle Gass (Tenacious D’s core duo) performing with Dave Grohl (drums), John Spiker (bass, piano, organ), and John Konesky (electric guitar).
Tenacious D recently unveiled the music video for new song 'To Be The Best', which sums up the duo's six year absence and features cameos from Dave Grohl, Yoshiki, Josh Groban, Jimmy Kimmel, Maria Menounos, Tim Robbins and Val Kilmer.
