X-Factor winner Leona Lewis is reportedly set to change her style in an attempt to engage with a younger, more modern crowd – and may be venturing into the realm of drum and bass.
The star, whose also a big hit in the US and across the world, has two album's under her belt and is gearing up for the release of her third record 'Glassheart', which is set to hit shelves at some point this year. But, rather than stick to her usual pop/R&B style, Lewis may be increasing the tempo to 170bpm for some dance-y drum and bass tracks.
Speaking to Metro, Lewis said: “At the moment I’m just finishing up my album so I’m hoping it will be out in the summer. I’ve got a track that’s got a bit of drum’n’bass at the end. It’s quite different to what I’ve had out before.”
She added: “I’ve got a track that’s very 90s. It’s just different influences that I’ve had through my life growing up, I’m really actually looking forward to people hearing it.”
In the meantime, Leona is returning to her roots and will once again appear on the X-Factor, this time as a judge. Singers Rita Ora, Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Nicole Scherzinger are the latest guest judges to have appeared on the show, which will return to screens this August.
