Lily Allen has revealed that she’s back in the recording studio, three years after she released her sophomore album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’.
The star, who had begun a musical hiatus in 2009, is now back where she works best, and may release a new album as early as next year. It’s believed that Allen originally took a break from the scene in order to have her baby Ethel, while some believed she may never return to music - but she’s now back and ready to bash out her laid back pop tracks once again.
Writing via Twitter, Allen told fans: “You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the fucking studio with @GregKurstin. No big deal really, I’m just throwing shit at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.”
We at Stereoboard are hoping, along with thousands of fans, that Lily Allen’s shit does stick to the wall (not sure I’ll ever write that again), and that she’ll be ready to release a new album in the near future. Stay with Stereoboard to stay updated on the story.
