American singer-songwriter and former Black Eyed Peas star Fergie has revealed that she’s working on brand new solo material- and she’s so full of ideas it could lead to a second studio album.
The star released her debut solo record ‘The Dutchess’ back in 2006, reaching #2 and #19 in the US and UK Albums charts respectively. After finding success, Fergie continued to work with the Black Eyed Peas, but now has the time to finish a follow-up as the group are on their second hiatus.
“I don't miss being on the road right now because the thing is, I was on the road for eight years, so I love pizza, but pizza every day for eight years is a different thing,” Fergie told MTV News. “However, I've already got notebooks full of ideas for new music, so I'm gonna kind of nurture that just like I do all of my ideas and perfect it until it's ready and then I'll just let it go.”
Then asked whether her new ideas would evolve into a new solo album, Fergie replied: “Yeah, we'll see. Like I said, I have tons of ideas that I'm thrilled about.”
