Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton has announced dates for a May 2013 UK tour, celebrating his 50th anniversary in music. Eric Clapton Tickets are ON SALE 9AM TODAY, Friday 21st September.
Eric Clapton is without doubt one of the most recognisable and highly-lauded guitarists in the world. Ranking second in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, he is the only person to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times; as a solo artist, as part of The Yardbirds, and as part of Cream.
Clapton is set to reflect on his super-successful 50 year career with a 2013 UK tour - which includes a five-date residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The trip kicks off in Birmingham’s LG Arena on May 13th, before then taking him to Manchester Arena the following day. He then commences his five-date stint in Royal Albert Hall, which concludes on May 23rd.
After performing alongside some of the biggest names in the game during his 50 years, he’ll be touring with a talented bunch of musicians including guitar player Doyle Bramhall II, drummer Steve Jordan, pianist and keyboard player Chris Stainton, and bassist Willie Weeks. Michelle John and Sharon White feature as backing vocalists.
