Leeds four-piece Pulled Apart By Horses released their second album “Tough Love” 20th January 2012, and with a phenomenal response by their fan base have recently reported the release of a deluxe version of the previous album, set for release on 10th December by Transgressive Records.
Bassist Rob Lee said, “this album is a lot more direct, we're better musicians and songwriters now. On the first one, we weren't that good as musicians, but now we've been touring relentlessly and we've got to be better players”. After the band created their debut album themselves, feeling that it wasn’t as ambitious as expected, Rob Lee went on to say, “this feels more like our first proper album and not just something for self-gratification. Every song on this album has its own personality and really stands on its own".
After the release of their second album, Pulled Apart By Horses have had a fantastically acclaimed year, with unprecedented support from Radio 1, 6Music and XFM and sold-out tours the hard-rocking Leeds quartet were met with a huge fanbase over mainstage performances at Reading and Leeds festivals over the Summer.
Drummer Lee Vincent explained, “We're very proud to bring you all our b-sides (including those from our debut album), demo's from the Tough Love writing sessions - recorded and mixed by our Rob in a dirty basement in Hyde Park, Live session tracks and even a very special live cover recorded on our European tour. Enjoy!”
Their new single “Epic Myth” will be released as a single on the 19th November, with the expected classic hooks and heavy rock only Pulled Apart By Horses can get away with. The single will be available digitally, though there will be a limited edition 7-inch individually numbered by the band and the first hundred signed.
So, as an end to an incredible year Pulled Apart By Horses will release their deluxe album on the 10th December, with special emphasis on their featured tracks below.
