Police Apologise To Notorious B.I.G For Publicly Releasing Grisly Autopsy Report

The LAPD have publicly apologised to the family of iconic rapper Notorious B.I.G for revealing the details of his autopsy to the general public without first informing them.

The legendary hip-hop man was infamously gunned down in the passenger seat of a car in 1997, with the identity of his true killer still unknown. Now, 15 years after the incident, the police of Los Angeles have apologised to his family for releasing an autopsy report before first notifying his family.

LAPD captain Bill Hayes has said in a statement: “Our detectives personally spoke with the Wallace family on Friday night, and apologized for not notifying them prior to the release. Obviously this has been a challenging case for us to solve. We hope that witnesses or other people with information will come forward and give us the clues we need to solve this case.”

The autopsy is now available to the public to see, and can be viewed on TMZ here - it claims that it was the last of the four gunshots which the rapper (real name Christopher Wallace) received that killed him, with the report saying that it ‘entered Wallace's body through his right hip and ripped its way through several vital organs ... before coming to rest in his left shoulder area’.

The grisly report also details the unfortunate path of the third bullet - saying that ‘the projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration’ - as well as describing him as ‘morbidly obese’.

The unsolved murder case has now been ‘reinvigorated’ by the release of the report, meaning there could finally be justice for Biggie and his family. What do you think of the report? Let us know in the comments section below.
