Bloc Party Announce Details Of Teenage Cancer Trust Ticket Auction & Unveil New Single 'Truth'

After storming back on to the scene with their long-awaited comeback album ‘FOUR’ in 2012, Bloc Party keep up the momentum in the new year with latest single ‘Truth’, released February 25th on Frenchkiss Records. Four days later the band will also be taking to the stage for what will be their biggest headline UK show of their career so far, when they perform to a sold-out crowd at the 19,000 capacity Earls Court.
Their appropriately named fourth album crashed into the charts at Number Three and garnered praise across the board, and third single ‘Truth’ is a love song that lead singer Kele Okereke identifies as the most “delicate” song on the album. The track comes as part of a digital bundle, backed by remixes from Jerome LOL, A Chat and IO Echo.
Although the show has long since sold-out, exclusive ticket packages for the Earls Court show on February 22nd will be available to buy via charity auction from Friday January 11th. All proceeds will go to Teenage Cancer Trust, the UK’s only charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival of young people with cancer.
The ticket packages are limited edition with only 20 available, and include a pair of standing tickets to the sold-out show, an event t-shirt and two passes to the VIP, invite-only after show party. The auction is running on Ticketmaster now until 12pm on Friday January 18th.
Bloc Party have supported Teenage Cancer Trust for over six years, including an appearance at the charity’s concert series at the Royal Albert Hall.
