American boyband Backstreet Boys reportedly announced their live return in China last night, confirming their plans for a 20th anniversary world tour.
The group - who are the world’s best-selling boyband having shifted over 130million records - formed back in 1993, but have been working on and off for the past couple of years following the departure of Kevin Richardson and a brief hiatus in 2002/03.
After revealing last year that they’d be releasing a brand new studio album - their first since featuring all five members since 2005’s ‘Never Gone’ - in April, rumours of a world tour coinciding with it (as well as their 20th anniversary) began flying around the net.
Now, they’ve appeared in Beijing to confirm that they’ll start a world tour in China this May, which will includes gigs in cities such as Shanghai, Chengdu,Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi'an, and of course, Beijing.
Nothing has been said of any UK tour dates as of yet, but a Backstreet Boys world tour really can’t not hit Britain, so we hope it’s just a matter of time before an announcement comes our way.
