Noel Gallagher Praises David Bowie's Return - And Calls Nostalgia Reunions 'F*cking Sh*te'

Manchester rocker Noel Gallagher has praised David Bowie for marking his return to music with a new album, and claimed that reunions in which a band comeback to simply perform gigs and ride nostalgia are ‘fucking shite’.
Gallagher doesn’t often use his appearances in the press to sing someone’s praises, but the former Oasis star says he was ‘blown away’ by Bowie’s new album, which he unveiled at the start of the year - 10 years after his last record release.
Speaking to NME, Gallagher said: “It's great to hear his voice singing something new. The more you hear 'Where Are We Now?' the better it gets. The video's mad – like his fucking cat directed it.”
He went on to slam the bands that seem to reform just for money and nostalgia’s sake - saying: “What it proved to me is that reunions are fucking shite. If you had turned on the news and it had said, 'David Bowie is to do a fucking series of concerts next year,' everyone would have gone, 'Oh great, can't wait, that's it, let's talk about something else.' But we're still talking about that song. New music and records rule, but reunions for gigs are shit, you know.”
As usual, anything involving the words ‘Gallagher’ and ‘Oasis’ inevitably leads to a discussion as to whether Noel and Liam will ever make friends and get back together - though all this suggests is that if they do reunite, they’ll be bringing an album along with them.
