Blondie To Play Forestry Commission Gig & Tickets |

Heart of Glass rockers, Blondie, are the latest act to confirm an appearance at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire on 20th June as part of the Forestry Commission Live Music Tour.

The tour, which involves bands performing in beautiful woodland locations around the UK, is an initiative that takes place every summer in seven forests around the country. Clearings in amongst thick woodland are temporarily transformed into a concert arena for music fans.
Confirmed for the West Country date are one of the most significant bands of the popular music era. Emerging from New York’s new wave scene and fronted by legend Debbie Harry, the band will be performing songs from their spring-due new album, the first for six years, as well as classic worldwide hits such as ‘Call Me’, ‘The Tide Is High’, ‘Atomic’ and ‘Heart Of Glass’.
At another venue, but still part of the Forestry Commission Live Tour, Katie Melua has revealed that she will be performing at Thetford Forest on Saturday 10th July. Recognised as one of the greatest musical successes of the last decade, Melua has nearly 10 million combined sales from her first 3 albums. Her 4th album is expected in May this year.
Other bands that have already signed up to play shows for the Forestry Commission Live Music Tour include Keane, James Morrison, Doves, Simply Red, The Saturdays and Status Quo.
