Liam Gallagher Ditches Oasis Name For His New Group |

Liam Gallagher has announced that his new group will be ditching the Oasis name in favour of something new.
The continuous arguments between Gallagher brothers Noel and Liam finally shook Oasis apart last year. After walking away from the wreck of his former group, Liam took some time out to holiday in Italy with some close friends and promised to be back with new material. Since the spilt however, speculation has been rife over what exactly the singer plans to do.
Having now formed a new band with some familiar faces, Liam Gallagher is set to remain as frontman for what is essentially the final version of Oasis, minus his brother. Speaking to XFM Radio, Liam spoke out about the name of the new band, revealing that he does not intend on using the Oasis name on the new album.
"No, it's not Oasis, that was a shit name anyway," Liam Gallagher revealed. "I'm glad to see the back of it."
Taking the name ‘Oasis’ from a venue in Swindon. Liam Gallagher continued to claim that with the new band currently working hard on recording, he was planning to release new material by July this year.
Remaining tight-lipped over any possible new names for the group. "There's a name that we're digging at the moment, but we're going to get on with the music and see how it goes."
Meanwhile, Liam’s brother Noel has confirmed that his first solo appearance since leaving Oasis will be a two-night performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The star will play in aid of the charity Teenage Cancer Trust on Thursday 25th March and Friday 26th March.
