Slash Knocked Down By Crazed Fan During Milan Show

A crazed fan has knocked down former Guns N Roses guitar legend Slash whilst the star performed onstage during a recent show in Italy.

Many people regard Slash as the greatest guitarist on the planet. Making his name in the 80’s and 90’s with iconic US rock group Guns N Roses, the top-hat wearing, leather-clad virtuoso’s guitar sound has been the influence to thousands of artists across the planet.

His recently released solo album ‘Slash and Friends’ has received some outstanding reviews with some true rock legends joining up with the guitarist to collaborate on the album.

Now in the process of promoting the album through a world tour, only last weekend the rock icon was met with sheer admiration from thousands of fans watching his set at Donington’s Download festival, where Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister joined Slash onstage for a blast of ‘Dr Alibi’.

However during a show in Milan only a few days before the UK festival appearance, it seemed that a fan went too far having stormed the stage and knocking Slash to the floor.

During a rendition of classic Guns N Roses track ‘Sweet Child O Mine’, Slash was mid-way through the epic solo where it seemed things must've gotten too much for the fan. Storming the stage, the concert-goer tragically ruined the solo and damaged one of Slash’s beloved guitars. Thankfully Slash was left uninjured.

Speaking to fans after the gig via the guitarist’s Facebook page, Slash seemed to be unmoved by the ordeal claiming that the whole concert was “kick-ass”.

"What'd I say? Rowdy crowd for sure, but amazing," Slash said. "The guy who nailed me didn't take me down but he busted my poor guitar. Ah well, it was a kick ass rock show."

Slash’s world tour has continued unaffected by the incident.
