Foals are an indie-rock band from Oxford.
Formed in 2005 out of the ashes of math-rock bands the Edmund Fitzgerald and Face Meets Grill, they put out their debut album 'Antidotes' in 2008, which peaked at #3 on the UK's Official Albums Chart. They have since gone on to put out a further five studio albums including, most recently, 'Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost: Part 2' in 2019. They are due to drop their seventh full-length serving, 'Life Is Yours', on June 17, 2022. As well as their own huge tours, they've also headlined and performed at some of the UK's biggest festivals, including Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury, Bestival and Parklife. Foals have been confirmed to headline Reading & Leeds Festival in August 2023. They will also celebrate the release of their new album with a run of intimate UK shows in January 2023, following the Life Is Yours North American Tour in December 2022. Foals’ seventh album finds the Oxonians in vibrant spirits. Despite the departure of two members —bassist Walter Gervers and keyboardist Edwin Congreave—the now three piece have delivered a work of glossy swagger, expanding and filling out the indie disco stylings of previous records. The result is a work of incredibly satisfying music led by bass and keys, and one that will form the backdrop to many a summer's eve out.
