Lady Gaga—real name Stefani Germanotta—is a pop singer-songwriter and musician from New York City.

Starting her music career in 2006, she released her debut album, ‘The Fame’, in 2008, followed by ‘Born This Way’ in 2011, which was her first #1 album. All of her six subsequent releases have also hit the top spot including two collaborative albums with Tony Bennett and her most recent solo record, 2020's 'Chromatica'.

The list of awards and nominations she has received throughout her career is seemingly endless, among them 13 Grammys, two Golden Globes, an Oscar, three BRITs and 18 MTV Video Music Awards. She is also famed for her acting roles in American Horror Story, A Star Is Born and House Of Gucci.

Global pop icon Lady Gaga and jazz legend Tony Bennett may not necessarily be a duo that you would instantly imagine working together, but the success of their 2014 collaborative album, 'Cheek to Cheek', proves that opposites really can attract when it comes to music.

Bennett met Gaga in 2011, when she performed Nat King Cole's Orange Coloured Sky at the Robin Hood Foundation Gala. Consequently, that same year she provided vocals to a duet—The Lady is a Tramp—on Bennett's album Duets II, and expressed her desire to record an entire jazz record.

'Cheek to Cheek' was born, and the pair performed songs from the album together in venues and jazz festivals across the world.
