Johnny Winter is an award-winning American blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer who worked closely with blues legends Muddy Waters. An internationally-renown figure, he’s been inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame, finished #74 in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time list in 2003, and produced three Grammy award-winning Muddy Waters albums.
After Columbia Record bosses saw him performing B.B. King's ‘It's My Own Fault’ in 1968, he was given the then largest record deal advance ($600,000), kickstarting a lengthy and successful career. With 18 of his own albums under his belt, Winter is showing no signs of slowing and continues to write and perform to this day. He tours the UK in April 2013 - check below to find tickets.
