"You're only young once, but you can be immature forever," slurs Jimmy Urine on their new album. Perhaps the lyric that could best sum up Mindless Self Indulgence's entire career and success to date, and it's for that reason that their fans love them. With their fifth album funded by these very people via Kickstarter, 'How I Learned To Stop Giving A Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence' had more weight on its shoulders to be good, and - at the very least - proves to be quintessentially MSI.
With the upcoming release of their brand new studio album 'How I Learned To Stop Giving A Shit And Love Mindless Self Indulgence', US musical mentalists Mindless Self Indulgence have announced a seven date run of the UK this winter, which spookily appears to have been destined as long as 200 years ago.
"We've been on another planet for ten, fifteen years trying to tell you. " exclaims James Euringer, more fondly known by fans of Mindless Self Indulgence as Jimmy Urine, their erratic, charismatic, wild and wonderful front man. "I don't like to say it - though we were definitely ahead of our time - but we're more like prophets."
The four-headed and many-limbed beast that is Mindless Self Indulgence has woken up after a three year slumber to ravage the UK with their ever unique brand of musical mayhem and stage-destroying live performances. Mindless Self Indulgence have confirmed that they will be returning to the UK in October 2012 for a run of headline dates to include shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London. Two of those shows - Manchester and Birmingham - have already been upgraded to bigger venues due to a lot of demand for tickets.
