Portico are an English jazz outfit hailing from London. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Jack Wyllie on tenor saxophone, drummer Duncan Bellamy, and double bassist Milo Fitzpatrick. The band originally started as a quartet also featuring Nick Mulvey and later his replacement Keir Vine, who left in September 2014.
Currently signed to Ninja Tune, the band would first start out busking in their hometown and performing at small venues, before putting out their debut album ‘Knee-Deep in the North Sea’ in 2007. Since then, they’ve put out two more LPs - ‘Isla’, and their most recent self-titled effort - and are about to unleash their fourth.
