Prince Tickets & Tour Dates 2014
One thing is certain with Prince, despite the name changes, his smooth pop and soul hits of the 80s and 90s will always be as electrifying as ever. Prince has so far produced ten platinum albums and thirty Top 40 singles during his career. He has founded his own recording studio and label, and writes, self-produces and plays most, if not all, of the instruments on his recordings.
Prince has seven Grammy Awards to his name, a Golden Globe as well as an Academy Award and, on top of all that, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 (the first year he was eligible).
Influenced by the likes of Sly & the Family Stone, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Miles Davis, Carlos Santana, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Duke Ellington, Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stone has ranked Prince #27 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
In 2014, he makes a spectacular return to the UK, with the funk legend set to follow a handful of spontaneous gigs around London and Manchester early in the year with arena shows at the LG Arena, the Phones 4U Arena, the SSE Hydro and the First Direct Arena on May 15, 16, 22 and 23, respectively.
