Her music has been associated with the big anti-folk scene in New York’s East Village, and she’s self-confessed that she writes ‘wierd songs about meatballs in refrigerators.’

2012 saw the release of her sixth studio album ‘What We Saw from the Cheap Seats’, a record which continued her remarkable chart success - peaking at #3 in the Billboard 200, and topping the Billboard Alternative chart.
