Sophie Evans is a Welsh singer and actress hailing from Tonypandy. Born in 1993, she would burst into the public eye after finishing as runner-up on Over the Rainbow, a reality contest to win the role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production of the Wizard of Oz in 2011.
Though she didn't win, she would earn a spot as the alternate Dorothy (playing the role on Tuesdays and any other day where the original Dorothy couldn't), and wowed audiences with her performances. Since then, she's been in the studio recording music and performing as often as she can, even singing at a Welsh rugby match for the Rugby World Cup.
