The Ting Tings are an English indie-pop and dance-punk outfit hailing from Oldham, Greater Manchester. Formed in 2007, the band consists of just Katie White and Jules de Martino, both multi-instrumentalists and vocalists.
The band would come together after a mutual love of Portishead brought the two together. Their first show was the result of a free-beer gig, but their next shows proved people were attending for more than just free booze - after finding themselves getting mentions on natioanl radio, tickets for their parties turned into goldust. Announcing themselves to the whole of the world with their debut single That’s Not My Name, the band would get themselves a deal with Columbia Records, and soon after, their band’s debut album ‘We Started Nothing’ topped the UK chart. Since then, The Ting Tings have gone on to shift over five million records worldwide, and made their return with their third record, ‘Super Critical’, in October 2014. Following UK gigs in November, The Ting Tings have now set up a US tour for the summer of 2015 - get your tickets below!
