Then Jerico are an English rock band that formed back in 1983. Releasing their debut single ‘The Big Sweep’ in 1985, the band went on to find a fair amount of success in the late 80s, with their second album ‘The Big Area’ becoming their most famous - selling 35,000 copies in its first week and hitting #4 in the UK Albums chart.
After a couple of more album releases, the band started to peter out, with frontman Mark Shaw continuing to perform alongside a constantly shuffling line-up for one off shows and performances. 2012 saw Shaw announce that a new album was in the works, and that the original Then Jerico line-up would reform for a tour - where they’ll be performing ‘The Big Area’ in full. Just over a year ago, Then Jerico were still a part of 80’s memories. A band that made and released great music, had a fantastic following and were an iconic band in an iconic decade.
