World Party is the name of Karl Wallinger’s solo project, and is his moniker for creating pop and alternative rock music. Active since as far back as 1986, Wallinger plays almost all of the instruments himself, using a multi-track device to blend them together.
Releasing his debut album ‘Private Revolution’ in 1986, he found success mostly outside of the UK, but with his third album ‘Bang!’, he managed to hit #2 in the UK Albums chart.
