Wovoka Gentle are a British band from London, consisting of Imogen Mason, Ellie Mason and William J. Stokes.
Formed in 2014, the band wrote and performed the score for Stasis' ‘A Table’, and went on to provide music for the world premiere of Alex Howarth’s stage adaptation of ‘What's Eating Gilbert Grape’. They released their debut EP, ‘Wovoka Gentle [Yellow]’, in 2015, which was followed by ‘Wovoka Gentle [Blue]’, later in the year. Their third EP, ‘Wovoka Gentle [Red]’, was released in October 2016. 2017 saw the release of a string of singles, You Have Saved Our Lives We Are Eternally Grateful..., Bear Trap, The Mostly Come at Night Mostly, and the most recent Branscombe. Wovoka Gentle headlines their own tour last year, and since, they've played Sea Change Festival, Boardmasters, Kendall Calling, Nozstock, Leefest, and are ready to play at Pitchfork's Music Festival in Paris later this year. Wovoka Gentle's debut album, 'Start Clanging Cymbals' is due in June 2019 via Nude Records. They'll support the record with a London show in March and a launch party in June.
