Born in 1987, Carter first emerged on the music scene as a member of local band Dead End, but soon found himself veering towards pop. One cover of The Jets’ Crush on You later and he’d earned himself a record deal and a slot supporting The Backstreet Boys.

Over the following years and the break of the millennium, Carter would go on to become a superstar, selling millions of records worldwide and often appearing on pre-teen TV stations like Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. Despite his popularity fading over the years, Carter lined-up one of his biggest tours yet in 2013 (The After Party Tour), playing 80 gigs across North America.
