Alexander O’Neal is an American R&B and soul singer from Minneapolis, Minnesota, best known as a member of The Time, as well as his solo career.
He started his music career in 1981, after he was signed to Warner Bros. with the band Flyte Tyme, later changed to The Time, alongside Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Monte Moir.
After leaving the band he went on to forge a solo career, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1985. He went on to release a further eight albums, including his latest ‘Five Questions: The New Journey’ in 2010, as well as singles such as Criticize, Fake, If You Were Here Tonight, and duets with musicians like Cherrelle, including Never Knew a Love Like This and Saturday Love.
Alexander O’Neal has announced the Resurrection Tour for April 2018, and will head back on the road later this year for a handful of UK shows in December.
