Amanda Palmer is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from New York. She found fame fronting dark cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls alongside Brian Viglione, but now leads a successful solo career - as well as also being involved with Baroque pop pair Evelyn Evelyn, and her own venture Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra.

The Sage is a £70million, 1,640 capacity music and entertainment venue in Gateshead. Opening in 1994, it also offers a range of conference rooms and even as acts as place of musical education too. Recent performers include Goldfrapp, Robert Plant, Morrissey, Bob Geldof, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, who sold out the main hall in just a couple of hours!
